Born in Budapest, Hungary, Susie Gach Peelle is the granddaughter of eminent WWI memorial sculptor Stephen Gach and international sculptor/painter George Gach. Her lengthy career in Fine Art includes an MFA Degree, as well as attending the Art Students League, NY, the National Academy of Fine Art, NY and Kokoschka School in Salzburg, Austria; over 2,000 portraits (e.g. Grace Bumbry of the Metropolitan Opera, Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Hirt of Talley Industries, AZ, Suraya Salaam, daughter of former Prime Minister of Lebanon, Dwight Allen, former Dean of U. of Mass. Graduate School, Monsignor Marcel Noirot, Rome, Italy, Baron Franz von Schager, NY, painter James Pinto of Mexico, R. Gordon Hoxie, former Chancellor of CWPost College, Thomas F. Goldrick, CEO and Chm. of the State Bank of Long Island and Dr. Frank Picciano, Chm. Emeritus, State Bank of Long Island, Geologist Frank Parker of Los Angeles, John Rhein III, former Assistant to the Publisher of Forbes Magazine and Publisher of Equities Magazine), 18 solo exhibitions and teaching on worldwide cruises .
Her prolific works in diverse themes- portraits, the figure, animals, landscapes, still lifes- and media- oil, acrylic, lead, conte, pen & ink, gouache, pastel, graphics, mosaics and painting on silk and ceramics- have been published and televised; some clients include The Bronx Zoo Society, Unicef, New Woman Magazine, Princeton University, C.W. Post College, WABC-TV. Her work has been exhibited at The Capitol, the United Nations Plaza, Lincoln Center, the National Arts and Salmagundi Clubs, the Nassau County and Parrish Art Museums, as well as galleries in Mexico, New York City and Long Island. She received "A Woman of Distinction in the Arts " Award by the town of Oyster Bay in 2013.
