Megan Biddle Stellar Nursery

"Stellar Nursery" by Megan Biddle

"Transcendence", a unique exhibit featuring sculpture, installations and two-dimensional works, showcased the creative interpretations of nine diverse artists working with their chosen materials. Curated by Carole Jay, the artists in this exhibit of transcended objects were chosen for their ability to find and change materials into something different than from their original purpose. Participating artists: Lisa Berley, Megan Biddle, Chris Coffin, Elizabeth Duffy, Joseph Esser, Nicole Hixon, Carol Hummel, Michael Kukla, Maureen Palmieri.

As part of the Art League of Long Island’s “Common Thread” series, “Landscapes from Metropolis to Arcadia” concentrated on landscape imagery expressed in many artistic styles and mediums ranging from realistic and abstract forms to photography and fine crafts.

The Art League of Long Island has been pleased to present an exhibition of 40 prints, executed since the year 2000, by 20 contemporary artists from Universal Limited Art Editions (ULAE), the esteemed fine art print publisher located in Bay Shore, Long Island.
Among the exciting works on view are recent prints by Helen Frankenthaler, Jane Hammond, Bill Jensen, Jasper Johns, Elizabeth Murray, James Rosenquist, Kiki Smith, and Terry Winters, along with one of the last prints Robert Rauschenberg made before his death in 2008.
