The Art League of Long Island has been pleased to present an exhibition of 40 prints, executed since the year 2000, by 20 contemporary artists from Universal Limited Art Editions (ULAE), the esteemed fine art print publisher located in Bay Shore, Long Island.

Among the exciting works on view are recent prints by Helen Frankenthaler, Jane Hammond, Bill Jensen, Jasper Johns, Elizabeth Murray, James Rosenquist, Kiki Smith, and Terry Winters, along with one of the last prints Robert Rauschenberg made before his death in 2008.

The photography exhibit posed a challenge to photographers from the tri-state area to submit their interpretations of structure and design found in nature and the man-made world.


Notations 21 Project

This international traveling exhibition celebrates the aesthetic and graphic beauty of contemporary illustrated musical scores as detailed in Theresa Sauer's book "Notations 21".  

The gallery displayed upwards of 60 pieces, some original to the Notations 21 book, and others more recently incorporated into the exhibit.

The Art League of Long Island celebrates the remarkable talent of local visual artists.
Exhibition juror and noted landscape painter April Gornick screened 500 works of art and selected 65 artists to participate in the exhibit.

This visually exciting exhibition presented the work of eight contemporary Long Island artists who create in either clay or water-mediums offering viewers an opportunity to compare the individual approaches to subject matter and material, and discover new connections and contrasts. Susan Bird, Riccarda De Eccher, John (Jack) Fink, Tina Folks, Katherine Hiscox, Barbara Karyo Grossman, Deborah Katz, and Bill Shallalies were exhibiting artists.
