Empty Bowls is an event that brings the community together to fight hunger and poverty. A grassroots movement by artist and crafts people around the world, empty bowls supports food-related charitable organizations, and has raised millions of dollars to help end hunger.

On November 10, gather in a community setting, share a meal and leave with a handmade ceramic bowl.

Proceeds of this collaborative fundraiser at the Art League of Long Island will be donated to Suffolk County Council VFW (SCCVFW).

SCCVFW is a 501(c) Veteran Service Organization that helps veterans and their families in need in Suffolk County. SCCVFW support programs and raises funds to help feed veterans, provide cars, build homes and provide grants for veterans and their families in need on a local, national and international level. All donations to SCCVFW are tax except.

The ceramic bowls will be created several weeks prior at the Art League of Long Island’s ceramics center.
