Cliff Miller is a renowned illustrator, portrait artist, and muralist.
After studying at New York Phoenix School of Design, Parsons School of Design, The School of Visual Arts and The Stevenson Academy of Traditional Painting under Harold Ransom Stevenson, Cliff Miller embarked on a 25-year career as a freelance Illustrator crafting hundreds of book covers for every major publisher in New York. This includes such best-selling authors as Elmore Leonard, Dean Koontz, Jack Higgins, Sue Grafton, and William W. Johnstone. His commercial clients consist of a who’s who roster of companies and brands including Miramax Films, Warner Brothers, Smirnoff, and Heineken.
Painting portraits had always been one of Cliff’s strengths and loves. He is strongly influenced by his mentor, Harold Ransom Stevenson, who was a personal student of Norman Rockwell. Cliff has painted political figures, sports stars, and corporate movers and shakers as well as a 9/11 memorial portrait which hangs on permanent display in the National 9/11 Museum in NYC. Since the 1990’s he has been painting murals, which led to the start of his own mural company. Cliff has painted murals in local schools, private homes and businesses from the Hamptons, estates on Long Islands Gold Coast to New York City, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Jersey.
He currently resides in Seaford, giving back to the community with his many school murals.
